What it the most important thing you have learned in this course? I felt the class of Appraising Organization Change and Development and Consulting was very interesting. I enjoyed learning the methods of evaluating and appraising a change effort within an organization. I felt I truly learned a lot by conducting the two interviews and actually speaking with an external organization consultant as well as a CEO of a company that hired an external consultant agency to help her in her very needed change effort. I feel the most important thing that I have learned from the course is the importance of appraising any type of organizational change that helps an organization as well as to truly be prepared as a process consultant. What I mean by prepared is to be flexible with the client or customer and to help them evaluate for themselves this situation of the change effort.

How do you feel about it? I feel that better understanding the appraisal of a change effort will truly benefit the consultant as well as the client. I believe it is a very necessary step in determining whether change efforts have succeeded for an organization. I feel you really can’t move on unless you have answered and achieved its desired goals and ensured it was a success. If not, I must go back as a practitioner and re-work the issue.
